Mamba Drainage
Fourth of 57 in the market to first
In March 2026 Mamba Drainage placed 4th of the 57 businesses ranking for the term on the Vancouver map. By July it placed 1st, on all three measures, with 100.00% market share. Both scans are below, straight out of LeadSnap, both on the Local Pack layer. Flip between them.

The result
The same grid, March to July
A heatmap scan drops a grid of search points over the city and checks the ranking at every one of them. Local rank is not one number. It is 169 of them.
Both scans below run the keyword drainage vancouver over the same 13 by 13 grid of 169 points, and both read the same search layer: the March export prints Search Type Local pack and the July export prints Ranking Source Local Pack. Google Maps and Local Pack are two different searches, so a before and after that mixes them proves nothing.
The one thing that is not identical is the area the grid covers, and the later scan is the bigger of the two: 79.84 km² on 21 March 2026 against 118.08 km² on 2 July 2026. The July result is held over more of Vancouver, not less. Both areas are printed on the exports below.

Position in market is the place LeadSnap prints beside market share. On the March scan all three measures place 4th, out of the 57 businesses the scan counted; on the July scan all three place 1st. The July export is cut above its own entries line, so this page says 4th of 57 to 1st and does not put a competitor count on the July end.

The challenge
Drainage work is bought in a hurry
Nobody researches a drainage company for a fortnight. A basement is taking water, or a line is backing up. The person holding the phone calls one of the first businesses Google shows them. The map block at the top of the page takes most of that attention, and everything under it takes the rest.
Vancouver makes that a harder problem than a compact town does. A profile can look healthy at its own address and fall away completely for somebody searching from a neighbourhood twenty minutes away. That is exactly what the March scan shows. Three drainage companies averaging above them, and the top row of the grid still reading 8 to 12 while points in the south of it read 1 and 2.
The category is crowded too. Franchise operators, plumbing groups and lead brokers all chase the same searches, and most of them outspend an independent.
What we did
The same levers, in the same order
Google Business Profile first. Primary category, secondary categories, services, service area, hours, description. All of it set the way Google reads it, not the way an owner would write it. Photos go up on a schedule. Posts go out on a schedule. The profile gets worked every week instead of being filled in once and left alone.
Service and area pages second. A page for every service the company actually sells, and a page for every neighbourhood it actually covers. Area pages are written from real research into the neighbourhood. Never spun from one template with the name swapped out. Near duplicate pages do not rank and do not convert. Schema and index submission are part of the build, not a later cleanup.
Citations third. Name, address and phone get matched across the directory set so nothing on the open web contradicts the profile. Inconsistent listings are quiet drag and they are cheap to fix once the profile is settled.
Interlinking holds it together. Services link to the areas they are sold in, areas link back to the services they need, and both hang off the locations hub. That is what stops a new page sitting alone with nothing pointing at it.
Google Ads runs alongside it. Exact match only, tightly themed ad groups, rebuilt bidding. Ads cover the searches organic has not reached yet and give an early read on which terms are worth building a page for.
What the bidding rebuild did on Mamba's own Google Ads account. From 20 August to 7 September 2026 the account took 33 clicks. In the 19 days before it, 1 to 19 August 2026, the same account took 19 clicks, and it spent 27% more to get them. Same daily budget in both windows. Two matched 19 day reads, either side of the rebuild. Put together, the cost of a click fell 58%. If you want ads on your own account, message us on WhatsApp and we will talk it through.
How we report
Nothing here is estimated
Every ranking figure on this page is legible in one of the two screenshots above, with the scan date printed on it. Same keyword at both ends, same Local Pack layer, same 13 by 13 grid, same 169 points, and the grid area of each scan is stated above rather than left for you to find. No ranking figure goes on this page without the scan it came off.
A scan whose search layer cannot be read off the export does not get published here, whatever it says. If the layer is not printed on screen, the pair cannot be shown to be a like for like read, so it does not go up.
That is also why no client's result on this site is a drawing. If a scan exists you see the scan. If it does not exist yet, we say so on that client's page. The only drawn grid anywhere on the site is the before and after panel on the home page. It carries no client's data, the business on it is called Your Company, and the terms page states that in writing.
