About us

The ONLY Two Things You Need To Know About Marketing.

Get into the top 3. Stay there. That's the whole job, and RG Marketing is one person doing it for local service businesses across Canada: movers, painters, drainage crews. Most people searching for your services never look past the top 3 results. If you're not there, you're invisible.

Our mission

Why I Only Work With Local Service Businesses.

I kept seeing the same thing. A good local company, real crews, real reviews, and a map pin sitting below the fold while a worse company took the calls all week.

That gap isn't a mystery. It's a ranking problem, and ranking problems are fixable. Google picks the map pack off signals you can work on: the Google Business Profile, the website, the citations, and how your listing performs across the map grid around your address.

So that's the job. I scan your service area as a grid, find the cells where you're already close to the top 3, and build for those first. The winnable ones move first. The harder cells follow once the profile has weight behind it. As soon as you're in the top 3, you usually stay there for years, without an ad budget holding the spot.

You're not hiring a department. You get me, one operator, working a short client list so the work actually ships. No account manager passing notes to someone you'll never meet.

The work runs month to month. No long contract and no lock-in. Everything I build sits on your own profile and your own website, so if you leave, it leaves with you.

Who we serve

Built For Local Businesses.

Companies that get booked by phone, in one metro area. One category per service area. If I'm already working with a mover in your city, I'll say so instead of taking your money.

Movers

Long booking windows, high job value, and a service radius that lives or dies on the map pack.

Painters and finishers

Estimate driven work. The top 3 listings get the estimate request. Everyone below gets ignored.

Trades and home services

Urgent searches, short decision windows. Whoever sits in the top 3 when the problem starts gets the call.

The same pattern fits plumbers, roofers, cleaners and HVAC. The category has to be open in your area.

What we run

Three Ways To Get Found.

Organic top 3

Your Google Business Profile, your website and your citations, all pushed at the same target. That's the three results Google shows in the map pack, and you don't pay for the clicks.

Google Ads

Ranking takes time. Ads sit above the organic results while it builds, so you're not waiting to get found. Budget, keywords and the calls they produce are all managed in your own account.

Facebook and Instagram Ads

Search only catches the people already looking for you. Meta ads put you in front of them before they start, so the name is familiar when they do.

How does it work?

It's Pretty Easy.

01.Grid scan of your area

Before anything is promised, I scan your service area as a grid and read your position in every square, not just standing at your own front door. The squares you can realistically win set the order of the work.

02.Google Business Profile

Categories, services, description, photos and posts, set against what the businesses already sitting in the top 3 are filed under. This is the part that moves the map fastest, so it goes first.

03.Website and citations

A page for every service on your profile, filed under the same category, plus a page for each area you actually serve, written with real local detail instead of the city name swapped in. Then your name, address and phone confirmed across the directories so Google stops seeing three versions of you.

04.The same grid, again

Not a traffic chart. The identical grid re-run on the same keyword, so you watch red squares turn green in the places your customers really search from. You keep running your crews the whole time. You don't get a homework list.

Organic comes first because it keeps working after you stop paying for it. Ads run when there's a reason for them, not by default.

The advantage

The difference.

Most people searching for your services never look past the top 3. Get there and you usually stay, with no ad budget holding the spot. Then there's how the work gets bought.

Most agencies
  • Six or twelve month contracts signed before any work starts
  • A template dropped on your site with the city name swapped in
  • An ad budget you have to keep paying to hold the spot
  • A traffic report that never says whether you rank where it counts
  • An account manager between you and whoever does the work
  • The same package sold to two competitors in one city
Marketing
  • Month to month. Leave whenever it stops being worth it
  • Pages built off real local research, not a find and replace
  • No pay per click and no ad budget to keep the spot once it's yours
  • A map grid you can read yourself, scanned before and after
  • You talk to the person doing the work, because that's the whole company
  • One business per category per service area, no exceptions
FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between SEO and Google Ads?

Ads rent the spot. Stop paying and you're gone the same day. Organic earns it. No pay per click, no ad budget holding the position, and once you're in the top 3 you usually stay there for years without an ad budget holding the spot. I run ads too, but only when there's a reason for them.

Which companies do you work with?

Local service businesses that get booked by phone. Right now that's movers, painters, cabinet refinishers and a drainage crew across British Columbia, Ontario and Alberta. Seven clients. I'm in Canada and the work is remote, because your map grid doesn't care where I sit.

Will you work with my competitor?

No. One business per category per service area. If your city is already taken in your category, I'll tell you before you pay for anything.

How much time will I need to invest?

Very little. Access to your Google profile, your website and your photos, plus a straight answer when I ask something only you can know, like which jobs you actually want more of. The building is on me.

Am I locked into a contract?

No. It runs month to month and you cancel whenever. Everything built lives on your Google profile and your website, so it stays with you if you go.

How can we get started?

Send your business name and your service area. I pull your profile and your map grid, record a free 3 minute video of what I see, and send it over. No call required, no pitch attached to it.
